Seniors Stacy Gilbert, Ata Movassaghi, and Elizabeth Wolbach were three of 50 students chosen nationwide for American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) Most Promising Minority Students Program.
AAF's Most Promising Minority Students Program is the premier advertising industry award program to recognize and recruit outstanding minority college graduates in the areas of advertising, marketing, media, and communications.
Gilbert, Movassaghi and Wolbach are invited to a three-day event in New York City in February to network, interview and be honored by some of the top advertising agencies, media companies and advertisers in the world. The program not only honors the students, but enhances their knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry by offering networking, interviewing and industry immersion opportunities with industry professionals.
Gilbert is a Television-Radio major with a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications who is interested in pursuing television commercial production. Movassaghi is an Integrated Marketing Communications major focusing on sports marketing career opportunities. Wolbach, an Integrated Marketing Communications major, is seeking a career in advertising agency account management.
The Most Promising Minority Students Program and its finalists will be featured in Advertising Age, USA TODAY and the official Most Promising Minority Student program book.
The students were nominated by IC's AAF Faculty Advisor, Associate Professor Scott Hamula.
