The College’s web development team in Information Technology Services and the web marketing team in the Office of Marketing Communications are pleased to announce new features in the Web Profile Manager (WPM) in the 1.6 release.

Summary of New Features

This new release introduces the ability to show and hide Custom Sections, Documents, and Galleries on your website, a particularly useful feature when you are making changes to a section.

We've also made several enhancements to the user interface to make it more consistent.  Specifically, the Intro and Custom Section editing screens now match the familiar interfaces found in the News and Blogs modules.

In addition, it is now possible to switch a Custom Section to a different parent section.

WPM users now have the ability to create Off-Site Links in the menu of a subsection of their sites.  Site managers will also have the ability to manage comments to their sites (such as comments on blog articles) in the new Comments Module.  Items that need attention will show on the main screen after a site manager logs in to WPM.

Also, there are new options for formatting blogs--on your blog main page you can choose to display either a short introduction for each entry or the entire post.

Please see the release notes in WPM for further details on these changes.  As we continue to enhance the Web Profile Manager for use by the College community, we invite your suggestions and feedback on new features. Contact us via the Talkback feature in WPM. We keep a list of all recommendations sent to us and strive to provide new features that serve the whole community.

Thanks for your support of Web Profile Manager!
