Brian Eaton, Director of the Curling Venue at the Vancouver Olympics will be speaking via live video on the eve of the Opening Ceremonies in the Hill Center, classroom 57 at 8:00pm on Thursday, February 11th.
Brian Eaton serves as General Manager of the Vancouver Olympic & Paralympic Centre, site of the curling competitions for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. As GM, he bears ultimate responsibility for leading 38 functional areas and more than 1,100 volunteers in planning and execution of the Olympic and Paralympic Games operations. Brian is a veteran of five Olympic Games and has more than 15 years of international sports PR, marketing and event management experience. He will share some insights on preparations for the 2010 Olympic Games on the eve of the Opening Ceremonies. He will also address the challenges and opportunities of the National Governing Body world as a career jumping off point, and the importance of diversity in career planning. This webinar is intended for college grads and grad students interested in a diverse sports career full of hard work, creativity, and five-ring fever.
The lecture will be held in Hill Center 57. Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis up to the limit of 40 seats.
