The ICNL Stewards program began last year with 26 faculty and student stewards taking care of South Hill Land.
Stewards are designated a parcel of South Hill Natural Land and are required to visit their land once a week and fill out a monthly monitoring report for the Ithaca College Natural Lands Committee. These reports are then used by the committee to observe the changes occuring on IC land.
