Following an extensive period of recruitment and review, and acting on the recommendation of the search committee, led by Dean Leslie Lewis, I am pleased to announce the schedule for the first finalist interview.

Dr. Diane Gayeski will interview for the position on February 25-26. Her activities will include meetings with faculty, students, staff, and various leadership groups. Additionally, an open presentation on "The Future of Communications Education" will be held on Friday, February 26 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Emerson A of the Campus Center. A reception will follow, and both the presentation and reception are open to anyone interested in attending.

Dr. Gayeski holds a B.A. in Radio & Television from Ithaca College, an M.A. in Educational Technology from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration, Supervision & Curriculum from the University of Maryland. She currently serves as Interim Dean and Professor of Strategic Communication of the Roy H. Park School of Communications, where she has previously served as a faculty member since 1979. Her professional activities include an active consulting firm (Gayeski Analytics), with clients worldwide including Sony, Panasonic, General Electric, Intel, and the US Navy. She is the author of a number of books, book chapters, and articles.

A résumé will be posted on the Provost's website early next week (https://www.ithaca.edu/provost/).

The visits of other finalists are currently being arranged; more announcements will follow as details are finalized.
