Professor Cyndy Scheibe (Psychology Department) presents her work this Thursday (04/01) at 12:10 – 1:00 PM in Cayuga Lake Room (Campus Center). Everyone is welcome to attend.
SUMMARY: How can media literacy pedagogies be integrated into just about any course, helping students develop 21st century skills in critical thinking and communication? Using Project Look Sharp's approach to media literacy education and media analysis, Cyndy Scheibe will lead a presentation and discussion about how faculty can incorporate media literacy approaches in their own classes.
IC COLLOQUIM SERIES: This series is part of the Ithaca Faculty Commons, the emerging model that links all of the faculty development activities of the college through coordination, resource-sharing, and networking. The Faculty Commons will have an online environment as well as a strong face to face center. The Faculty Colloquia will be audio recorded for the college’s iTunesU, and follow up discussion groups will continue in myHome.
