Cell phone donations to benefit the Tompkins County Advocacy Center.

From March 30th to April 2nd, Meredith Young will have a cell phone drop box located at the student information desk in the IC Campus Center to accept cell phone donations to benefit the Tompkins County Advocacy Center. The drop box will be available each day from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If donating, please fill out one of the small sheets placed next to the box. Please indicate your name and the item donated so that appropriate "thank you's" can be given. Please place the paper in the box with the donation.

The Tompkins County Advocacy Center works with Verison Wirless’ HopeLine program to recycle used cell phones, batteries and accessories, any brand, any model, functioning and non functioning, from any wireless carrier to aid victims of domestic violence.

Your used cell phone will be scrubbed of your personal information and refurbished. Proceeds are used to provide wireless phones and cash grants to the Tompkins County Advocacy Center.

Usable phones and accessories will be transferred into "911" emergency phones for those in need and cash grants will be given to the Tompkins County Advocacy Center for non usable phones and accessories.

Anything Helps!

Thank You
Meredith Young
