Check out Ithacappella's annual Acappellooza down at the State Theatre on Sunday, April 11th @2pm
That's right folks, it is that time once again for Ithacappella's annual Acappellooza!! The event, held each year down at the State Theatre features groups and performers from all over the East Coast, including Boston's Overboard and Marblehead High School's Luminescence, in addition to your very own hometown Premium Blend, IC Voicestream, Cornell Chordials, and of course, Ithacappella!!
It all goes down on Sunday, April 11th at 2pm down at the State. Tickets are 10 dollars for adults and 7 dollars for students and can be purchased at the door or online at www.StateofIthaca.com.
This years Acappellooza promises to be bigger and better than ever before!! We are turning the entire event into a weekend long extravaganza! Kick off the weekend on Saturday by attending any one of our workshops hosted by professionals in the acammunity (that's a cappella community, for those of you who were unsure). We will be hosting a series of workshops and presentations focused around contemporary a cappella and its place in school music programs!
Over the day, there will be presentations about A cappella music on topics like:
- Vocal Percussion (12pm Beeler, Rob Dietz)
- Arranging (2pm Beeler, Dave Grossman)
- Starting and Establishing Groups** (1pm Presser, Amanda Roeder, Award-winning Choral Director from Marblehead High School)
- Recording (1pm Beeler, James Cannon)
- Auditioning (4pm Presser, Amanda Roeder and Nick Girard)
...and more!
Then finish off the weekend with the concert at The State on Sunday at 2pm!!
