The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been engulfed in violence since 1996, and women have often been the victims. More than 200,000 women, from toddlers to the elderly, have been raped since the civil war began.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the V-Day Organization and UNICEF's CITY OF JOY in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which helps victims of rape find safety, heal and become independent leaders. We will be raising money to help members of the City of Joy pay for self-defense classes. Learn more at http://drc.vday.org/
