Join the IC Environmental Society at our regular meeting today for a workshop on toxic substances in standard beauty products run by Katie Kelly from Clean New York. Wednesday, April 28th, 8:00 in Friends 210.

Katie Kelly works with a non-profit called Clean New York and does outreach and education in western/central NY.  The group works to get toxic chemicals out of consumer products, educate consumers, and fix ineffective policies to prevent the problem. Clean New York works in concert with over 50 organizations in NY through the JustGreen Partnership. Katie is now working in Tompkins County to build relationships with local groups and do small group education projects about toxic chemicals in consumer products (like lead, BPA, and some flame retardants). She will address what the problem is, and steps we can take to protect ourselves and help be part of the solution.     We hope you join us for our last event of the year!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Ithaca College Environmental Society at ICES1970@gmail.com. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
