UPDATE ON SENIOR WEEK PASS SALES
Understandably, many members of the class of 2010 have been expressing frustration with this year's Senior Week Pass sales and the new system implemented for pass sales.  The following should help provide some clarity around what happened as well as provide information on the current state of pass and ticket sales

WHY WAS THERE A LIMIT PLACED ON THE NUMBER OF PASSES SOLD?
An initial cap was placed on Senior Week Pass sales through the online system based on two numbers: (a) the capacity of Emerson Suites and (b) the number of passes sold in previous years.  This year the demand for senior week passes has well exceeded any reasonable expectation of sales, based on past numbers.  Our system was designed with the idea that at best, 600 passes would be sold.  Your class, which is actually pretty exciting for all of us involved in planning senior week, has demonstrated a much higher demand for senior week passes than ever before.

WHY CAN'T WE BRING MORE GUESTS TO THE SEMI-FORMAL?
Using our original data (again based on past  sales) we held back 50 slots for guests, with the idea that once pass sales were over, we would be able to open up more spaces for guests at the semi-formal. Since your Senior Class has demonstrated an incredibly high demand for attendance at the semi-formal, we will not be able to open up any more guest spots for the semi-formal.  Our obligation is to the members of your graduating class first, and we will need to provide all additional available spaces at the semi-formal to your peers.

ARE THERE MORE WINE TOURS?
In response to the high demand for wine tours, we chartered 4 additional buses (2 per day), based on the numbers of seniors on waiting lists for the tours.  Last year, we canceled wine tours, due to lack of interest.  Once again, your demand for these tours was much higher than expected.  We have been able to accommodate everyone that was on a waiting list for a wine tour with these additional buses.

ARE THERE STILL PASSES AVAILABLE FOR SALE?
We have made some adjustments to our event logistics and have accommodated everyone that was on the waiting list for a pass at this point.  If you still wish to purchase a pass, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO SO by coming to the Student Activities Center (3rd floor of the Campus Center) on Saturday, May 15th, from 9am to 6pm.

I ALREADY BOUGHT A PASS, WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
The first week of May you will receive an email with additional details about t-shirt and pass packet pick-up.  You MUST plan on coming to the Student Activities Center (3rd floor of the Campus Center) on Saturday, May 15th, between the hours of 9am to 6pm to pick up your pass and shirt.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through the logistics of accommodating many more of you than anticipated.  And thanks for being interested and involved as you begin to celebrate your graduation from Ithaca College.

We would also like to publicly thank the Office of Alumni Affairs for working with us on the pilot system for online sales.  We feel that this system, with some minor adjustments for next year, will serve future classes well.
