If you access Ithaca College systems such as e-mail, myHome, Blackboard, Web Profile Manager, etc., you need to know about Netpass!
For the last several years, users have been instructed to log into these systems and many others using their "e-mail" username and password. Since that username/password combination is used for so much more than e-mail, ITS is giving it a more universal name: Netpass
Don't worry - this is NOT a new username or password; it's just a new name for the login credentials that are used to access many systems at Ithaca College. Users will start to notice that login pages will prompt for the "Netpass Username" and "Netpass Password" instead of the familiar "e-mail" username and password.
Also, the E-mail Account Utility that is used for managing e-mail passwords and security questions will be renamed to Netpass Manager. Again, this is a name change only; the functionality will not change.
ITS will start using the new terms beginning June 4, 2010 and will be working on updating Web pages and documentation in the near future. Users may see references to both "e-mail username" and "Netpass username" over the next few months, but remember, they mean the same thing.
