Reminder! Please Submit PTA Balances by May 21, 2010

This is a reminder to all supervisors to submit Paid Time Away balances for your department to Human Resources by Friday, May 21st. 

Spreadsheets were sent out to all supervisors last week to help staff document PTA balances for uploading into the new online PTA system in Oracle/Parnassus. This collection is part of three steps to go live with the online PTA system:

1) Supervisors will submit staff member current balances via a collection process to HR.  The spreadsheets with the current balances will be compiled for the next step in the process.

2) Between 5/24-6/1, HR will "load" PTA (vacation/sick/personal) for the period of time between 6/1/10-5/31/11 for all staff  into the PTA online system.  All the aspects of the PTA policy will be applied (individual allotments, anniversary dates, etc.) to this year "load".

3) Current balances that were submitted will then be added into the "upcoming year load".  This "total PTA balance" for each staff member will be displayed on 6/1/10 in Oracle/Parnassus.  This total amount will follow the current policy of reaching a maximum.  The most that would be displayed would be the individual's maximum amount - the online system will not display any more than the maximum as is identified in our current policy for PTA.

PTA requests and approvals will follow the work flow and approval processes in Oracle/Parnassus.  There will be walk-in sessions in the first part of June (schedule to be shared soon) in the HR area of the PRW Center for staff members who would like assistance.
