LEARN TO ROW for Faculty, Staff and Students

 The Ithaca College coaching staff will be offering two Learn to Row Clinics at the Haskill Davidson boathouse.

Faculty and Staff: Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 5-7PM
Meet at the Ithaca College boathouse.

Students: Friday, September 10th, 2010 from 4:00-6:30PM
Please meet at Hill Center Gym Lobby for Vans to the boathouse.               

 

LEARN to ROW

Format

Introduction, tour, safety discussion.

Land instruction on the ergometer: basic rowing stroke and coxswain commands.

Launching the shells and dock instruction.

Row for 30-45 minutes, participants will be accompanied by members of the varsity rowing team.

Wrap-up

What to Bring: Workout clothes (tight fitting is best), sneakers and a water bottle.

Safety/Liability: We will follow USRowing safety guidelines and Ithaca Crew safety procedures. All participants will need to sign an Ithaca College waiver, and verify their ability to swim.
