As Ithaca College occupational therapy graduate students, we are contacting you to participate in a research study targeted to help you and your academic needs! Using an innovative program, Therapeutic Listening, we believe you will experience significant changes in your academic performance.

By being involved in the study you will have the possibility to participate in a Therapeutic Listening program, which can potentially improve your reading comprehension, attention, test performance, auditory processing, postural control, time management, and note-taking skills, as well as decrease anxiety.

As a participant in the study, you will be asked to listen to specialized compact discs using modified headphones while engaging in therapeutic exercises for 1 hour a day, 5 days a week, for up to 8 weeks.

To be eligible for the study you need to be at least 18 years of age and have a diagnosed learning disability. All participants will be provided with daily snacks and will be entered into a raffle to win the grand prize at the completion of the study!

We would greatly appreciate your help and participation in our study. We truly believe the Therapeutic Listening Program can significantly benefit you and your academic performance.

If you would you are interested in participating in our study or would like more information, please contact Kati Jensen by email at Kjensen2@ithaca.edu or by phone at (607) 226-4001.
