There's still more to do! Come out on September 25th from 12-4 to pull Japanese stilt grass and help preserve our Natural Area.

South Hill Natural Area behind Ithaca College has recently been experiencing a rapid growth of Japanese stilt grass, an invasive plant species that threatens the health of our unique natural area.  We’re looking for as many volunteers as possible to help us pull the grass in an effort to control this problem.

We'll be out there from 12-4 on Saturday, Sept. 25th. Folks arriving at 12 will meet on the gravel road behind Terrace 10, near the IC Natural Lands kiosk. Those joining us later in the afternoon will find signs directing you to the pull.

Enjoy the great outdoors, meet new people, and make a difference while doing it!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Lis Maurer at lmaurer@ithaca.edu or 607-274-7394. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
