This Friday, 17 September at 7:00 P.M. in Hockett Recital hall, faculty member Jean Radice will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s complete Opus 1, the Clavier-Exercise of 1731 in a collaborative recital with colleagues and former and current students from her harpsichord studio in the School of Music.
The program will feature two magnificent harpsichords built respectively by Frank Hubbard and William Dowd. Both instruments will be tuned to the 18th-century temperament devised by the philosopher and musician Jean-Jacques Rosseau. Participating performers will be: Jean C. Radice, Mary Holzhauer, Mark A. Radice, Jonathan Riss, Michael Gaertner, and Elena Nezhdanova.
