Did you know that getting adequate sleep can improve learning and memory, increase metabolism, decrease body weight, improve mood, reduce stress, and help prevent illness? Still, many students do not get enough sleep! Those who have decided to prioritize sleep in their schedules have found that they perform better, both physically and academically. If you are among those who have trouble falling asleep, here are three simple tips that may help:

1. Get more exercise during the day.

2. Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake.

3. Give yourself time to relax before going to sleep. Unplug from your laptop, TV, and cell phone for at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
