The School of Humanities and Sciences is pleased to announce that this fall, almost $20,000 was awarded through the H&S Educational Grant Initiative to a wide variety of projects to enhance student learning and achievement.
The awards provide funding to support a variety of projects and activities, including:
•student presentations of papers and posters based on their original research at academic conferences including the Wildlife Society annual meeting and the Mid-Atlantic Popular/American Culture Association annual meeting;
•the campus visit of artist, director, and mask-maker Per Brahe, who will meet with students in theater arts classes and give a public workshop;
•study trips in association with fall semester courses for students to study the art of historic preservation at the Genesee Country Museum, ethnic enclaves in new York City, and the effects of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico
