Recent Activities of Composer Dana Wilson
In the past few months, a new work by Dana Wilson was premiered at Carnegie Hall by the World Civic Orchestra, who commissioned the work, and another was premiered at a festival in Asheville, NC. A quartet was awarded the Random Access Music Award, which included a New York City performance. A new work was published by Boosey and Hawkes Music Publishers, and three CD's were released of, respectively, his horn concerto, trumpet concerto, and work for clarinet and piano. There was also an article published on his music for clarinet by a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and two doctoral dissertations on his music are in progress.
