The Handwerker Gallery invites you to an Artist's Talk by Michiko Itatani on Thursday, October 28, at 6:00 pm.

The exhibition, "Michiko Itatani:  Personal Codes," features paintings and drawings from her recent body of work, "Personal Codes," which is divided into two series of works entitled Hyper Baroque and Moon Light/Mooring. Itatani describes the series as "two parallel fictions based on the human desire to reach out into the mental and physical space beyond our grasp. One is looking out, and the other is looking in."

The work will remain on view until December 10, and an illustrated catalogue will accompany the exhibition.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Erika Fowler-Decatur at 607.274.3548. Please make requests for accommodations as far in advance as possible.

All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and weekends, noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesdays but can accommodate group or class visits by appointment.
