The Sustainability Café on Monday, December 6th will feature Wendy Cobrda, CEO of Earthsense, speaking about “A Darker Shade of Green.” The Café will be held in the Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 from 4:00-5:00PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Wendy Cobrda, founder of Earthsense – an ambitious, applied market research startup – will discuss her misadventures with measuring the green market while trying to obtain financing. She’ll talk about the trends that waxed and waned over the almost four years she’s been focused on this market space. She’ll also share learnings from her experience in seeking financing for this capital intensive business and the joys experienced while gaining national exposure on a shoestring budget. “A Darker Shade of Green” is about learning the realities of pushing a commonsense agenda in a world where day-to-day struggle makes it difficult for people to see the long-term benefits of adaptation.
