The Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts will present Jonathan M. Sherman’s play, “Women and Wallace.” This production will be directed by Emily Viterise ’11 as one of the department’s Senior Directing Projects.
All tickets for “Women and Wallace” are free. To reserve tickets for “Women and Wallace” e-mail ICTams1@gmail.com. All tickets are distributed on a first come first serve basis, and must be picked up at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance. Performance times are 2:00 on November 7th, 6:00 on November 8th, and 8:00 on both November 7th and 8th. All performances will be held in Studio 2 in Dillingham Center.
“Women and Wallace” tells the story of Wallace, a boy whose world, like glass, is shattered in one traumatic moment at the age of six. The audience watches as Wallace is forced to grow up while viewing his world and his relationships through this kaleidoscope of broken images and events. Wallace tries to piece back together his world and cope with the grief left from that one harrowing event. Wallace strives to gain acceptance and learn how to successfully communicate with the world and the women around him.
The cast of “Women and Wallace” features, Miles Crosman ‘12 as Wallace, Kirsten Cornille ’11 as Grandmother, Katie Drinkard ’14 as Lili, Taylor Misiak ’14 as Nina, Maggie Moe ’13 as Victoria, Elizabeth Pietrangelo ’11 as Mother/Psychiatrist, Ariella Serur ’14 as Sarah, Emily Viancourt ’14 as Wendy as well as Quilla Otto-Jacobs ’13 and Geoff Pictor ’11.
“Women and Wallace’s” artistic staff includes director Emily Viterise ’11, designer Lawrence Moten ’12, dramaturg Kaela Bamberger ’14, stage manager Jessie Jardon ’12, head technician Will Burns ’13, and assistant director Sara Stevens ’13.
A nationally recognized professional theater-training program, the Department of Theatre Arts attracts students from across the United States. Throughout the production season, undergraduate students present all aspects of theater in a professional model.
