Nancy Reynolds, Program Director of the Center for Health Promotion, Office of Counseling and Wellness, was the lead developer of a new online application for brief interventions with substance-abusing college students. Reynolds has worked closely with Blu Sky Creative Services, Inc., a Seattle-based web development team, to create BASICS Feedback (http://info.basicsfeedback.com/basics).

BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) is an evidence-based strategy for reducing high risk drinking and drug use. Ithaca College’s BASICS Feedback prototype served as the lead template for the application, which is already being utilized at over 30 colleges and universities including Cornell, University of Rochester, Harvard, Michigan State, and UC Davis.
