Dr. Skott Freedman presents workshop on central auditory processing disorder

Dr. Skott Freedman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology
and Audiology, presented a 2-hour workshop on central auditory processing disorder (CAPD)
on November 1st, 2010 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in downtown Ithaca.

CAPD is a disorder related to difficulty processing spoken language and affects roughly 3-5% of school-aged children. The workshop was an invited presentation and approximately 40 participants attended, mostly parents and educators from the local area.
