Pathways Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Training for Faculty and Staff

11/18/10

Contributed by Paul Mikowski

This is a call to see if enough interested faculty/staff are available for one more Pathways training before finals.

Attend a Pathways training to learn crisis response skills before you need them!  Don't wait until it's too late to learn how to identify and respond to a student who might be experiencing distress.  Taught by staff of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Pathways will prepare you to confidently identify and respond to someone believed to be at risk for experiencing a crisis.

CAPS wants to know if enough interested faculty/staff are available to justify running one more Pathways training before finals.

Feel free to bring a friend!

If at least 10 people RSVP, this training will run:

December 7, 2010, 3-4:30 p.m.

If not, the next Pathways will be early spring semester 2011.

To maximize the benefit of the training, group sizes are limited.  Please contact Paul Mikowski (pmikowski@ithaca.edu) to reserve a seat for you (and perhaps a faculty/staff friend).

Training sessions are available for departments; please inquire for more information.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations are asked to contact Counseling and Psychological Services at 607-274-3136 as early as possible.
