Here is another chance to sign the petition for a living wage for dining services.
Currently subcontracted dining services employees are not included in
the Ithaca College commitment to paying a living wage. Members of the
Labor Initiative Promoting Solidarity are working with the
administration to extend the living wage policy to dining services
employees.

To do this the goal of the Labor Initiative Promoting Solidarity is to
have language in the contractual standards that Ithaca College sets
with its direct contractors and subcontractors that requires a living
wage for non-student employees (determined biannually by Alternatives
Federal Credit Union); comparable benefits to Ithaca College
direct-hire employees; job security; and the right to organize in the
form of a union or otherwise without interference, coercion, or
influence to promote or deter organization. Compliance with these
terms will ensure respect and dignity in the workplace.
