We are pleased to announce the 2011 summer orientation dates for your planning purposes.
Students will be able to sign-up for an orientation session via their myHome account, and they can find comprehensive information about the new student, transfer, and family orientation programs on the “new” First-Year Experience website (to be released at the end of January).
Please be aware that not all orientation sessions are open to every student as some schools and departments only offer certain dates for their orientation program. If you know of a student who believes they cannot attend a summer orientation session, please refer them to our office. We will work with them to make the best accommodations for their orientation experience. Below you will also find details about an extended transfer orientation program we are piloting this year.

Transfer Orientation:
This year we will be piloting an extended transfer orientation program for students seeking a more traditional orientation experience. This half-day program will occur on Sunday, June 19, the day before the traditional transfer program (including advising and registration). This extended program will give transfer students an opportunity to participate in a longer orientation program, which includes staying in the residence halls, having more one on one time with the orientation leaders, and participating in social programs designed to connect them to the community and each other.

Transfer Orientation: Sunday-Monday, June 19-20
* Advising and registration will occur on June 20.
Session 2: Wednesday-Friday, June 22-24
Session 3: Monday-Wednesday, June 27-29
Session 4: Wednesday-Friday, June 29-July 1
Session 5: Wednesday-Friday, July 6-8
Session 6: Monday-Wednesday, July 11-13
Session 7: Wednesday-Friday, July 13-15
