For this year’s Engaging Communities event, we are very pleased to offer opportunities for faculty, staff and students to experience two highly accomplished individuals; one to engage our minds and help us focus our work and the other to engage our spirit and sense of connection.
On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites, we will welcome Dr. Alma Clayton-Pedersen. Dr. Clayton-Pedersen is currently Vice President of Emeritus Consulting Group out of Chicago, and will share her observations and insights from her many years of leadership in improving the climate for diversity in higher education.
We also invite you to be part of a cultural experience. Chapuchi Ahiagble is a master weaver of Kente cloth from Ghana. He will be with us on Monday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 15 to share with us his story and his craft. He will set up his loom in the North Foyer of the Campus Center. Please stop by between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to watch a demonstration and learn about this beautiful tradition.
Come and be part of the conversation about communities and culture here at Ithaca College! This luncheon event is open to the campus.
