Have you ever wondered if there was a way to make your workspace more comfortable? Did you know that half of workers who used computers for 15 hours a week reported joint problems in the first year of working at a new job? Ergonomics is the study of the “kind of work you do, the environment you work in, and the tools you use to do your job”.

Ergonomics can make your workspace safer and more comfortable. Office ergonomics can lower the stress and injury caused in the workplace by repetitive tasks and awkward positions. Office caused illnesses and injuries can impact your work and cost both you and your employer time and money. This occurrence can be decreased or even prevented by making some simple and inexpensive changes to your work space.

Office Ergonomics focuses on how your office space area is set up, this includes:

This also includes your work area (including light, noise, and temperature), the tools used when doing your job (and if they are set up to fulfill your needs), and more. Thankfully there are several easy and inexpensive ways in which to arrange your office space to best fit your needs.
