TIOLI (Take It Or Leave It) and OSCAR (Office Supply Collection and Reuse), brought to you by the Resource and Environmental Management Program (REMP), are open once again!
TIOLI is like a free swap shop located in the basement of Clarke Hall – you can donate usable items you don’t want to go to the landfill that someone else could use and take something you need. There’s something for just about everyone, from kitchen supplies to clothes to room accessories. There is a sign at the main entrance of Clarke with a number you can call to have an Eco-Rep let you in the building.
Hours:
Tuesday: 11am – 12pm
Wednesday: 11am – 1pm
Thursday: 11am – 12pm, 2pm – 4pm
Friday: 11am – 3pm
OSCAR is another great free resource to check out before you head to Staples or the bookstore for new office supplies. Drop off your used office supplies and reduce your waste, and pick up anything you might need. OSCAR is located in Phillips Hall across from the new Department of Education (between the bookstore and Career Services).
Hours:
Tuesday: 10am – 11am, 12 – 2pm
Wednesday: 10am – 12pm, 1pm – 3pm
Thursday: 10am – 12pm, 1pm – 3pm
Friday: 10am – 2pm
For your convenience, the hours will remain the same for the semester. You can find them on the REMP website here and here and on the signs outside of TIOLI and OSCAR.
Remember the 4 Rs: Reduce your consumption, Reuse what you can, Recycle what you must, and Rebuy products made of recycled materials when you must buy new. Lighten your environmental footprint for a healthier planet and a happier you!
