The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival is  pleased to announce the FLEFF fellowship program for emerging scholars of color. The fellowships allow current doctoral students to attend the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, April 14-17, 2011. Please encourage eligible grad students from around the country to apply. https://www.ithaca.edu/fleff/festivalfellow/

The festival is programmed in the spirit of UNESCO’s initiative on sustainable development. This initiative has redefined and expanded environmental issues to explore the international interconnections between war, disease, health, genocide, the land, water, air, food, education, technology, cultural heritage, and diversity.  The theme for this year’s festival is Checkpoints.

The fellows bring a diverse perspective and share an interest in sustainability. Preferred applicants will be students pursuing careers in higher education. Students from all disciplines are welcome. Fellows come from universities across the country.

Information and applications are available on the FLEFF website at https://www.ithaca.edu/fleff/festivalfellow/. We will begin reviewing applications on March 4th.

Thank you.
