SGA Weekly Updates!

HAPPY SPRING BREAK! This week we had a good amount of stuff going on to tell you all about!

Tariq Meyers, our newest class of 2014 senator, was named senator of the week!
Director of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs and Assistant Dean for First Year Experiences, Bonnie Solt Prunty, came to speak to us as part of our distinguished speaker series. Bonnie discussed how she first came to IC as a Residence Hall Director in 1988, and has advanced to her current position today! She helps to coordinate orientation, the first year reading initiative, Maura Cullen and many other activities for first year students to improve their experience. Bonnie briefly touched on the expansion of the circle apartments which will add 138 rooms to be completed by Fall 2012 and the expansion of the First Year Residence Hall Experience to the East Tower for next year.
We'd like to thank everyone in towers and terraces for helping us with outreach efforts this past Sunday and hope the quads and emerson are looking forward to their outreach after spring break!
