An update from the Office of Marketing Communications on requests for web design projects

You recently received an e-mail inviting you to provide feedback regarding various marketing messages and visuals currently under consideration.

This survey will help us collect data from a broad constituent base. We will use this data to inform the way we will communicate Ithaca College’s approach to preparing students for life during and after their college careers. Thank you in advance for sharing your feedback through this survey.

Towards the end of this semester, we plan to host some open forums to provide a progress report and a preview of the implementation plans for the months and year ahead.

Our tentative plan is to launch the initiative this fall, beginning with  "reskinning" the Ithaca College home page (ithaca.edu) and top-level pages. Think of this as giving it a fresh coat of paint, not overhauling the overall navigation and architecture of the site.

Although it's "just a paint job," this is still a significant project with a tight time frame, further complicated by some recent staff turnover and searches we are running. Reskinning ithaca.edu will be our top priority over the next six months, along with other implementation projects to be determined by our forthcoming institutional strategic marketing plan.

Because of this priority and recent staff turnover, our ability to take on other web design related efforts will be limited, if even possible, over the next six months. We will evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis.

I'm looking forward to sharing more details with you at our open forums (dates, times, and locations to be determined) later this semester.
