Across the Middle East and North Africa, the people have exercised their right to be heard by the regimes that have ruled over them for decades. This is truly a time of transition. But why has this happened? Why now?
IC International Club will be hosting a discussion series throughout April during the Thursday lunch period involving various professors from across campus who will provide their insights on this issue. What is the history of the region? What are the socio-economic issues at hand? How was social media involved in these revolutions?
Join us for our first discussion with Politics Professor Soyinka-Airewele. She will be talking to us about military intervention in North Africa. This is sure to be a very informative and interesting discussion on an extremely current event on Thursday, April 7th at 12:15pm in Klingenstein Lounge.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the IC International Club at icic@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
