Ithaca Earth Day On the Commons 12 noon – 5 pm
5 pm Earth Rhythms & Potluck
Lehman Alternative Community School 111 Chestnut Street Ithaca 12:00 noon “Home - the Movie”: How the Earth has changed & how this affects us. Center Ithaca, small atrium. 1:30 pm Group discussion: with facilitator Wally Woods. 2:30 Outside Center Ithaca: Get ready to march in our Earth Day parade around the Commons representing your favorite plant, animal or element, Earth, Air, Fire or Water. Alternative energy, composting & recycled costumes, posters & banners welcome. 3:00 pm Opening Ceremony: Song, Earth Day history, speakers, & “Giving gratitude to our planet.” 3:30 Earth Day Parade: Take off – drums, kazoos & instruments welcome. 4:30 Closing Ceremony & Cleanup.
