About Tom Swartwout

Tom Swartwout is a film editor who has worked with the director Sidney Lumet since 1995.   With Lumet he edited five movies and two season's of the television series "100 Centre Street." Their most recent collaboration was “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead.” 

In addition to his work on feature films and television shows, he has edited documentaries, commercials, and music videos for various networks including HBO, PBS, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and The CBC. He has just finished work on a series of films with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology about the Mississippi River Delta and the efforts to restore the Delta’s wetlands.
