Members of the Ithaca football program are participating in the "Get in the Game - Save a Life" National Marrow Donor Program in an effort to recruit new members to the bone marrow registry. The team will host a Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry Drive on Thursday April 14, in the Emerson Suites. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases hope to find a marrow donor who can make their transplant possible. And you have the chance to help them. The process to join the registry is easy, pain-free and will only take 15 minutes. A cheek swab is taken for the test without using any needles or drawing blood. After that you are part of the 20 million people worldwide who are listed as potential bone marrow donors.
Please take this opportunity to help save lives by joining the Be The Match Registry and becoming a marrow donor.
