The School of Music is ending the semester with a bang and will be entertaining campus all weekend long!  Join us for a variety of musical events from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. 

Friday, April 29 at 8:15pm in Ford Hall
Women's Chorale

Song of Survival - The Power of Music
Featuring a film presentation about a Women's Vocal Orchestra in a Sumatra prison camp and the power of musical involvement.

Ithaca College Campus Choral Ensemble
You are invited to a "celebration of IC 2020" 2nd annual Spring concert program! 
The Campus Choral Ensemble includes individuals from majors throughout campus and features the music of many times and many places in this interdisciplinary celebration! Our spring concert features special guest faculty artist mezzo soprano Dawn Pierce and many graduate and undergraduate music students, as well as IC Alum and local music educator Ernest Backus as guest artist and guest conductor!

Stravinsky: Rite of Spring
The Rite of Spring premiered on May 29, 1913, a historical period where music jumped into new ideas, scales, tonalities, dissonances, structures. The music composed by Igor Stravinsky, is the quintessential proving ground of any orchestra and includes innovative complex rhythmic structures that have made it a influential 20th century composition. The performance is the mammoth of the standard orchestral repertoire and always an audience favorite.
