Ithaca College hosted over 200 people from across the country for the Ithaca area greatstrides for Cystic Fibrosis event. Steve Bell, soccer alumni class of 2006, who lives with CF, a life-threatening genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system, was the honorary chairperson of the event.
Steve addressed the crowd before the walk and spoke of the positive impact that the research sponsored by the CF Foundation has had on his quality of life. In addition to continuing to play soccer, Steve completed the NYC marathon this past Fall! The men's soccer team would like to say a special thanks to Ann Byrne, Speech Studies and to Dave Keelhar and the rest of the grounds crew for their help with this event. Great job by all who participated!
