Two Ithaca College students, Abigail Lind and Briana Bender, have been named Killam Fellows for 2011-12. They will spend the Spring semester of 2012 studying in Canada as part of the prestigious Killam Fellowships Program.Two Ithaca College students, Abigail Lind and Briana Bender, have been named Killam Fellows for 2011-12. They will spend the Spring semester of 2012 studying in Canada as part of the prestigious Killam Fellowships Program.
The Killam Program provides an opportunity for exceptional undergraduate students from universities in the United States to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in Canada. Administered by the Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States of America, the Killam Fellowship Program promotes mutual understanding between the two nations by facilitating academic and cultural exchange.
Abigail Lind ('13) is an Honors Program student and Exercise Science major. She will spend Spring 2012 studying at York University in Toronto, Ontario.
Briana Bender ('13) is a French and Francophone Studies major and Spanish minor. She will spend Spring 2012 studying at the Université de Montréal in Montréal, Quebec.
