Carole Dennis, Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, presented at two conferences in June.
She presented two papers at the RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America) conference held in Toronto, Canada, from June 6 to 8, 2011: Feasibility of a Mobile Robot with Alternative Control System for a Child with Cerebral Palsy, and The WeeBot: Feasibility of a Mobility Option for Infants. Both were related to work accomplished in the last academic year on the Tots on Bots project with colleagues Sharon Stansfield (Computer Science) and Hélène Larin (Physical Therapy), and occupational therapy graduate students Kelsey Baker, Marisa Becker, Anna Bruehl, Evelyn Davies, Maribeth Hirschey, Laura Lemeling, and Dustin Newcombe.
She also presented an invited paper, Building Cultural Competence among Students in the Health Professions, at the IES Abroad Santiago Comparative Health Seminar held in Santiago, Chile. June 12 -18.
