Jeffery Meyer, Ithaca College Director of Orchestras, Guest Conducting at the Beijing International Composition Workshop at China's Central Conservatory

Jeffery Meyer, Ithaca College Director of Orchestras, will spend the next two weeks as a member of the guest conducting faculty at the Beijing International Composition Workshop at China's Central Conservatory in Beijing.  He will be working with young composers in residence at the Conservatory, conducting nearly a dozen world premiere performances of works written by the composition fellows, and coaching Chinese musicians in the chamber group setting. 

He will also give a lecture entitled "Professionalism and Career Development for Young Composers".
