We are currently holding all packages that arrive if you are in our system as living on campus for the Fall 2011 semester or if you are currently a “hold at Phillips Hall” summer student. You will receive an email notifying you that a package has arrived and where to pick it up. It is important that you read the body of the email. During this time in the semester we keep small and large packages at the Mail Center. Last year during the first 6 weeks of the semester we received 18,350 packages for students.
Circles residents: Please notify your correspondents and remember to use the new Circles building numbers. We will resume sorting mail into the Community Center mail boxes on Wednesday 8/17/2011.
New and Returning on-campus residents : We are currently holding all letter mail and magazines for you at the Mail Center. We will begin to sort this mail into mail boxes during the week of August 22nd. If you are returning to campus early, you can come to the Mail Center to check for mail that has arrived.
All packages and mail for students not having an on-campus address are being forwarded to the permanent address on file or returned to the sender.
Off-campus residents should provide their local address to the Registrar’s office. Mail Services does not hold mail or packages for off-campus students. These items are sent to your permanent address, a local address or returned to the sender depending on the courier that delivered it.
Check out our Facebook page or come to the Mail 101 session on August 29 from 2 – 2:30pm in Textor 101 and learn “everything you need to know about receiving and sending mail but were afraid to ask.”
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Karen or Pete in Mail Services at 607-274-3371. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
