An online plagiarism detection service called Turnitin is now available to faculty who wish to have students' papers analyzed for originality against a database of web pages, articles, and student papers. ITS is organizing two information sessions and workshops for faculty considering using Turnitin this semester.
This 1 hour session will provide an overview of Turnitin and how you and your students can use Turnitin in Sakai or directly through Turnitin.com. Participants can leave after the first 25 minutes or stay for some hands on experience in both the student and instructor role. Staff will be able to create accounts at the workshop but it would help if you filled out a request form before hand (See link below). Please bring a sample paper that you can send to Turnitin to check its originality.
Sessions:
Location: TLC in Friends 101. ROOM CHANGE to Friends 103
Please register for the workshop.
