At the All-College Meeting on Thursday, August 25th, we SPOTTED 171 employees who followed the President's instructions to bring their own reusable beverage container to the meeting. Even though the Emerson Suites - which was set Thursday for a seated group of 500 - had a "standing room only" attendence for the meeting, we still estimate that about a third of all those attending brought their own beverage container. WELL DONE!
These special SPOTTED cards - which were prepared especially for the All-College Meeting so we could track how many were issued - are redeemable for a free hot beverage refill at any of the IC Dining Retal locations. Please note that these special SPOTTED cards are only good through October 14th so plan to redeem your card soon.
Thanks to the President's office and the Office of Marketing Communication, this time we "upped the ante" on prizes for those bringing along a particularly interesting reusable mug: a goodly number of lucky folks also received a navy polo emblazoned with the new Ithaca College logo.
Thanks to Ithaca College Dining Services for their underwriting of the beverage refills for the SPOTTED program, and to the Ithaca College Recycling and Environmental Management Program, whose program assistants and eco-rep volunteers SPOTTED all those mug-wielders in line on Thursday.
So, plan ahead to get SPOTTED; bring your mug to January's All-College meeting. Remember, too, that if you get in the habit of carrying and using your reusable beverage container, you will receive a discount on beverage refills at IC dining retail locations. PLUS, if you do the right thing all the time, you just might get SPOTTED any old time by a REMP program assistant.
