The Folk Music Club is IC's newest music club formed with the intention of connecting students who have an interest in all sorts of folk music, particularly traditional American folk music. The club is also open to Ithaca College faculty and staff members. Whether you play or have an interest in learning Southern Old-Time, Bluegrass, Contradance, or any kind of North American folk music, this club is for you!
The club will host weekly jams (Tuesday or Thursday nights) on campus where we'll share tunes and learn a variety of traditional folk music styles. No previous experience playing traditional or folk music is required.
