Faculty Council is seeking to fill seats on various committees, as described below.
The first four of these are longstanding committees of Student Affairs and Campus Life; the latter two are new. If you are interested or have questions, please send me a note at seltzer@ithaca.edu. Thanks.
Campus Life Committee Two faculty members. Faculty terms are for two years, to be staggered initially by lot. Committee meetings are scheduled on Thursdays from 12:10 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. every other week.
Parking Appeals Board One faculty member. The term is one year (and members may be reappointed). The committee establishes its meeting schedule each year according to the commitments of the members.
Parking Policy Committee One faculty member. Two-year term.
Faculty-Staff Benefits Committee Five faculty members. Three-year terms. Ideally each school would be represented.
Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee. (This committee will replace the current budget committee.) Two faculty members, appointed by the president from a pool of at least four. The committee is scheduled to meet from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on most Tuesdays.
IC 20/20 Advisory Committee. (The purpose of this committee will be to monitor achievement of the goals connected with IC 20/20.) One faculty member from each school, appointed by the provost from a pool of at least two.
