The first Sustainability Café of the Fall 2011 series, to be held on Monday, September 19th, will feature Jared Makrancy ’09 from the Bolton Point Water Treatment facility, speaking on “Moving Waters: Treating Ithaca’s Drinking Water Supply”. This Sustainability Café will be held in the Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 at 4:00PM.
Jared Makrancy graduated in May 2009 with a degree in Environmental Studies, concentrating on Natural Resources Management. Jared’s undergraduate focus on freshwater systems - combining his studies in systems thinking with science-based education - has led him to a career at the Bolton Point Municipal Water Treatment facility, where he helps preserve the quality of Ithaca’s drinking water.
This event is free and open to the public. The Fall 2011 Sustainability Café series is held in conjunction with the Environmental Seminar.
