The Sustainability Café on Monday, September 26th will feature Kyla Bashar ’07, Sustainability Coordinator at Weston Solutions, speaking on "Defining Sustainability: A Personal to Professional journey". The Café will be held in Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 at 4:00PM.

Kyla graduated from Ithaca College in 2007 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Outdoor Adventure Leadership. She spent most of the last four years in North Carolina performing as a high ropes facilitator, kayak guide, and camp director. Kyla now serves as the Sustainability Coordinator at Weston Solutions in Glastonbury, CT.

If you were to look at Kyla's career path on a piece of paper, you would see a winding road with many pit stops and lookouts. Kyla will tell the story of how one IC student has ventured from career-clueless to vision-driven and the lessons learned about living towards sustainability in the mainstream, modern US. She will offer a few suggestions for making the transition from College into that very "real" world everyone talks about.

This event is free and open to the public.
